I left Gibraltar a little after 8:pm, hung out most of the day working the show area. Things are looking good and I have faith we will wrap it up and be ready to roll on time tomorrow morning.

Due to current circumstances, the Magic the Gathering card tournament has been cancelled, however; there will still be a sectioned off area for gaming use available after 2:00pm. We apologize for any inconvenience or frown y faces this program change may have caused.

There will be a pencil banner ad online in the Oakland Press home page this weekend. Following that, there will be a Macomb Daily & Daily Tribune ad online for this week as a Leader board/L-rack. And to back it up, the event has been listed on the Metro Times & Detroit Metro Times online calendars, the news stations community calendars, Zvents and along with popular social media sites, and the local coffee break news. Let us not forget about all the personal PR we have done in the last few months, and the support we have with friends, including vendors, have also been handing out flyers and spreading the good world. Thank you to all who gave their support, and to the establishments that allowed us to hang out and advertise or leave flyers and/or posters. We hope all our efforts pan out to a really big turn out for a really big show.

The Great Lakes Garrison 501st Legion has a network of many members that share a love for Star Wars, so much so, that they create their own costumes and volunteer their time to attend events. They have some other things in common too such as all the charitable causes they support. We are honored to have them attend Long White Box Con. These members look forward to meeting their fans, and hope you come out to see them in support of our charitable Toys for Tots drive. They have responded with a list of members ready to attended so far:

Lord Vader
(4) Stormtroopers
(1) Clone Commander
(1) Tusken Raider / Sand People
(1) Arc Trooper / animated Clone from the Clone Wars cartoon series
(1) Boba Fett or a SnowTrooper / He has both but I told him Boba Fett would be great.

Now if that doesn't get the average Star Wars geek excited I do not know what will. Clear off your SD cards to make room for some cool new pics with you or a group of your family and/or friends and your favorite characters.

We did have Gemma Keech as a Special Guest attending the Long White Box Con event, however; she will not be able to make it and has cancelled. We apologize to anyone who may have noted on the website that she was going to be doing charcoal portrait demonstrations both days, as that will no longer be available. There will be two other types of  workshops to choose as an alternative. William Messner -Loebs will be offering a drawing workshop on Saturday, and Lucy Gothro will be offering a beginners inking workshop both days. Please consider joining them and having some fun.

Well, I'm sorry to say we did not receive any responses to the promo give away tonight. Goodness, hope it is not a problem with the BLOG, as website traffic increased and there is a pattern of that increase on Thursdays, but we do not receive much play on the BLOG itself.  If anyone tried and had a problem, please let me know. Show Update: We are pleased to be able to share with the group that we received confirmation from the 501st that 6 members will be coming, and we are waiting to hear if Darth Vader will also be available to attend.

Rudy and I will be back at Gibraltar Trade Center on 10/29 to do more live promo's. We will be at the Metro Pro Wrestling - Halloween Heat event. The wrestling event is a fundraiser to build a Youth for Christ center. So, anyone heading out to watch some good wrestling and help a good cause, stop by our booth and say hello.  We will be playing games and having some free stuff to give away.

Rudy and I are at Gibraltar again today, over by the signers Mickey Redmond and Red Berenson who are here  and signing today. There seems to be a decent size crowd here today, a little more than yesterday for signings. We are handing out flyers and not just flyers but also sharing the excitement we have for our show and hoping they are able to take that with them as well. We will be here a few hours so will be back to write more post event thoughts.
